Ho Chi Minh City, commonly known as Saigon or by the abbreviations HCMC or HCM, is the largest city in Vietnam and the former capital of the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam). There are two main seasons in Ho Chi Minh City, the rainy and dry seasons. The Rainy goes from May through November, the dry goes from December through April.
There are hundreds of cinemas and theatres in Ho Chi Minh City, including the Municipal Theatre, the Ben Thanh theatre, Hoa Binh theatre, and the Lan Anh Music Stage. Over 3 million people visit Ho Chi Minh City every year, this is about 70% of all tourism to Vietnam.
